Explore Living Colors: The Ecology in Book Arts

In this fun and interactive virtual workshop, we will explore the colors, textures, and structures of leaves and flowers on paper and thread with simple tools such as our hands, hammer, rock, or a rolling pin. Gather some paper, cotton or linen thread, and leaves and flowers from your patio, garden, sidewalk, or local environment. We will improvise spontaneous creativity and enjoy our own rhythm and beat - as we press, rub, pound and create with plants. We will recycle the plant materials so they biodegrade & use what we make as inspirations for bookmarks, cards, collages, books, and book binding. This virtual workshop is free; all ages welcome!
