Members of the Arboretum have a special opportunity to volunteer with us. Volunteer Orientations are offered throughout the year and include a tour of the garden and an overview of all the opportunities available.

We have different types of positions to place applicants into, based on their interests and skills. If you enjoy working with the public, or the tranquillity of taking care of plants, or would like to work indoors and increase your plant knowledge, we have several opportunities for you.

The Potting Shed's success depends on the involvement of dedicated volunteers. We appreciate the valuable time that each one of our volunteers has to offer. In order to provide enjoyable experiences for all of our volunteers, we offer training, support, and frequent opportunities to meet new friends, learn about what's new in the Arboretum, and extend your horticultural knowledge. On the last Wednesday of every month, our Horticulture Group (comprised of Garden, Nursery, and Potting Shed volunteers) gathers for a monthly meeting to socialize, hear announcements, and view a presentation on a different horticultural topic each month.
