The Fullerton Arboretum is dedicated to providing educational opportunities to people of all ages. Our classes offer you a chance to learn about the plants, nature, history, health, culture and sustainability.

Some of the ongoing programs we offer are listed below, but check the class registration listing for the full list of all upcoming programs and to register.
List of Classes & Registration

Steve Gerischer's Gardening in SoCal Series
  • Take a class with award winning landscape designer and teacher, Steve Gerischer who will be teaching classes relating to gardening in Southern California
Wine & Food Pairing
  • Chef Laurent Brazier from La Cuisine is back. Come attend his Food & Wine Pairing classes as he will demonstrate how to properly pair wine with food.
  • Come and join the Jonathans as they will entertain and teach you their favorite dishes through these demostration-style culinary classes.
Medicinal & Edible Plants of SoCal
  • Take a walk through the garden and learn some medicinal and edible plants.
Edible Flowers
  • Do you know which flowers are edible? Kitty Morse will teach you what flowers go with your favorite dish.
Composting Classes
  • Attend composting classes and learn how to turn your "trash" into natural fertilizer for your plants.
Yoga in the Garden
  • Practice yoga throughout the majestic garden with yoga instructors Cosette Deza and/or Sarah Starr, who will be teaching yoga every Saturday at 9:30am. Meet at the Nature Center.

Education Manager, Miguel Macias, finds himself on the front page of the Daily Titan!

CSUF journalist, Amber Uddin, wrote a fantastic article on composting classes offered at the arboretum titled, "Turning Trash into Treasure Through Composting."
